iPortal presentation at Hereward College

On the 15th of November the iPortal will be brought to Hereward College. The iPortal™ is a wheelchair accessory that connects to an iPhone or iPod touch to display wheelchair information in real time.
The presentation will be made by a representative from Dynamic Controls, the creators of the iPortal, through Midland Mobility.

Midland Mobility is a small company which sells wheelchairs and mobility products. Hereward College has a close relationship with this company as they repair privately owned wheelchairs for our students. Because of this, we have managed to arrange a presentation where anybody can attend for free.

Dynamic Controls is the world’s leading manufacturer of electronic controls for power wheelchairs. Certified to ISO 13485, Dynamic Controls goes above and beyond industry standard expectations to ensure customers receive the best products possible. The Dynamic Controls purpose is to deliver technical and innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.

The iPortal is Dynamic Controls’ latest solution to help enhance the quality of life of people living with a disability. It is a unique approach to wheelchair displays that not only shows information in an exciting, easy to read way but brings the latest mainstream technology to the chair. It looks like a great advance for people with a compatible control system & looks particularly good for students who are switch users or unable to access the iPhone manually.

The presentation will take place Tuesday, November 15th at 11 a.m. in Physiotherapy. If you would like to attend, or for more information, please contact Howard Knight at howard.knight@hereward.ac.uk
