Hereward College raises funds for Childline

Each year the Peer Support team at Hereward College helps to raise awareness of the harm that bullying can cause a person and the many different ways bullying can occur. We also help promote the attitude that bullying will not be tolerated in college and encourage others to make a stand against it and report any bullying actions.

This year we organised and will be taking part in a sponsored walk to help raise funds for Childline as part of an activity during the National Anti-bullying week (14th to 18th November).
The Memorial Park in Coventry has a circular path which runs alongside the park boundary, each lap of the park is 1.6 miles in distance. Our aim is to complete 1 lap walking or driving our wheelchairs, with as little support as possible.

How the donation is used by Childline?
£4  - Answers a child's call for help on ChildLine.
£25 - Enables a trained practitioner to deliver one hour of support through the NSPCC Helpline, to protect some of the most vulnerable children in society such as babies or toddlers who cannot call for themselves.
£42 - Pays for a child who may have nowhere else to turn to receive confidential, one to one counselling through ChildLine, about an issue which is important to them.
£50 -Pays for an hour of direct one to one support for a vulnerable child and their family. This includes the time it takes to prepare and write up the session.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

The Peer Support Team at Hereward College is assisting with the organisation of the National Anti-bullying week and offer support for the ChildLine organisation. They really appreciate all your support and thank you in advance for any donations.
