Acorns Youngsters will visit Hereward College

Acorns Children's Hospice is a charity organisation that provides care and support for children and young people who have life limiting or life threatening conditions. Acorns is currently supporting nearly 600 children and 800 families, including those who are bereaved. Their specialist nursing and support services provide a vital lifeline for these families who would face a much tougher challenge coping alone.

Hereward College will be having 3 or 4 young people from Acorns coming to stay with us at Hereward next week (17th - 21st October). We are proud to be associated with such a great organisation as Acorns as we feel that it's our responsibility to contribute to the well-being of those in need. That is why we will make sure that the youngsters will have the time of their lives while they are here.

The youngsters will be accommodated in the 'C Block' and we have planned a full week of activities and taster sessions for them.

During their week here they will be filming and producing a DVD; this will be screened on Friday 21st October at 12.00pm in the Pool Studio.  Staff and students are invited to the screening, so please do come along to support our visitors.

A full programme of the week is attached. Students and staff are all invited to get involved in any events to show the youngster a great time and demonstrate what Hereward College is all about! Please click here to see our full schedule for the week.
